Poll Workers

If you are interested in becoming an Early Voting or Election Day poll worker, please complete the Temporary Poll Worker Application for Employment. It is not necessary to submit a resume, but feel free to provide information about your work history or skills, and which political party you would be interested in working for. If you are bilingual, please include that information as well.

In most cases, local political parties appoint the various poll workers for elections, so your information will be forwarded to the party of your choice to be considered for selection. The Elections Office also appoints delivery and tech workers at times. The rate of pay for poll workers is $12.00 per hour. Pay for mileage is also added for some delivery and tech workers.

Please be advised that you are free to submit your information at any time, but you may not be contacted immediately as elections are seasonal and there are several months between elections at times. In even numbered years, early January is a great time to submit your name and information for consideration for the March Primary Elections, May Primary Runoff Elections, and May City and School elections. August or early September in any year is a great time to submit your name and information for consideration for November General Elections and November City and School Elections.
